04.02.2010

Are you e-creative? Take part in the Creative Teacher of the Year Competition, organised this year by Rokus Klett Publishing House for the twelfth year running!

The basic aim of the competition is to encourage and award those teachers that are creating new didactic aids and putting into force new teaching and learning methods.

WHO CAN APPLY
All teachers of all primary school programmes, levels and directions (primary, music and language schools, schools with adapted programmes, institutes …), with at least one year’s experience, can apply.

WHAT CAN YOU APPLY WITH THIS YEAR?
In this academic year we will be looking for and awarding the best e-material models created by teachers. All didactic e-materials belong to this category, intended for work with pupils, such as: materials for interactive whiteboards, web classrooms, websites, blogs, computer slideshows, animations, interactive tasks … You can also apply with descriptive accounts of interesting and tested ways of using various e-tools (e.g. email) for didactic purposes.

CATEGORIES
You can take part in one of the two categories: First Triennium or the Second and Third Triennia.

COMMITTEE
Applications will be reviewed by a committee composed of prof. dr. Ljubica Marjanovič Umek, prof. dr. Peter Krečič, dr. Srečo Zakrajšek and individual subject area editors at Rokus Klett Publishing.

AWARDS
The best product or model will be selected from each category. Its author will receive a Creative Teacher of 2009/2010 diploma and will be awarded a net sum of 1.000 EUR.
Four runners-up (two in each category) will receive special awards. All participating teachers will receive book awards.
If the committee finds the submitted product or model as having good potential for wider use and publishing, then Rokus Klett Publishing reserves the pre-emptive right to buy the copyright.

Sent material, which should be in as finalised form as possible (particularly in terms of content), will be considered as an entry to the competition.
